Schedule :  Tuesdays & Thursdays until 9 : 00 PM, Fridays until 8 : 00 PM (occasional later hours as needed; summer hours to be determined)

Compensation :  Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience

Position Overview

A private family on the  Upper East Side  is seeking a warm, engaging, and responsible  Part-Time Nanny  who is a  native French speaker  to care for two children, ages 11 and 14. The position primarily involves after-school care, including managing school pickups, assisting with homework, and coordinating evening routines and activities.

The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, patience, and a genuine love of working with children in this age group, while providing consistent exposure to the French language in a natural and encouraging way

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive after-school care for two children (ages 11 and 14)
• Communicate with the children exclusively in French to support language development
• Assist with homework, school projects, and after-school routines
• Supervise and coordinate after-school activities and playdates
• Prepare light snacks or simple meals for the children as needed
• Ensure children’s belongings (school bags, sports gear, etc.) are organized and ready for the next day
• Maintain a positive, nurturing environment that encourages independence and good habits
• Communicate regularly with parents about schedules, activities, and child-related needs
