Unarmed Security Guard - Veterans Senior Living Facility (Denver)

Compensation: $21.10/hr (5% annual increase)

Position Overview:

Zona Facta is seeking experienced and dependable Unarmed Security Guards to provide professional security and patrol services at a veterans senior living facility in Denver, CO. Guards will maintain a safe and secure environment for veterans, staff, and federal property in accordance with specified security policies and federal regulations.

This role demands exceptional professionalism, situational awareness, and commitment to the mission of serving those who served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide physical security by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining vigilance for unsafe or unlawful conditions, and promptly reporting incidents to on-site police.
• Monitor and secure facility entrances, exits, and outbuildings in accordance with site post orders.
• Conduct foot patrols of the campus to ensure facility integrity, verifying that doors and gates are locked and reporting unsecured areas.
• Maintain 24/7 monitoring and reporting logs per the relevant protocol, documenting patrols, incidents, and equipment checks.
• Immediately contact on site police or local law enforcement in the event of a disturbance, emergency, or criminal activity.
• Operate under an Observe, Report, and Retreat policy - no physical engagement or confrontation is authorized.
• Maintain continuous communication with site police during incidents or emergencies.
• Support emergency procedures, including evacuations or lockdowns as directed by site police or facility leadership.
• Turn in all lost and found items per the relevant policy and maintain clear records of discovered property.
• Represent Zona Facta and the client with professionalism, courtesy, and integrity at all times.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid Denver Guard Card (Unarmed) - compliance with local and state licensing laws required.
• Minimum 2 years of professional security experience, preferably in government, healthcare, or institutional environments.
• No felony or misdemeanor convictions related to drugs, weapons, theft, or violence within the last 10 years.
• Must successfully pass the relevant background check prior to assignment.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, document incidents accurately, and follow SOPs precisely.
• Strong de-escalation and conflict management skills.
• Ability to perform foot patrols, maintain logs, and remain on post for extended periods (up to 10 consecutive hours).
• Professional appearance, grooming, and adherence to the client's conduct standards required.
• Must complete OSHA safety and fire prevention training.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality required.

Uniform and Equipment:

• Zona Facta will provide approved unarmed security uniforms in accordance with client standards (black ZF Polo, khaki trousers, black belt, and black shoes).
• Guards must maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• All issued equipment and materials must be safeguarded and properly returned at the end of the contract or post assignment.

Compensation and Contract:

• Hourly rate: $21.10/hr.
• Full-time coverage for 24/7 monitoring and reporting (rotating shifts).
• Schedule includes weekends and holidays per the client's requirements.
• No overtime anticipated; adherence to the client's shift schedule required.
