Job Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Shift : Days, 9 : 30 AM – 6 : 00 PM (8-hour shifts)

Hours per Week : 40

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1630 - $1750

Call Requirement : Yes; call rotation for 24 / 7 coverage

Number of Openings : 1

Electronic Medical Record : PICIS / Medhost

Scrub Attire : Matching set top and bottom, no set color

PACU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Mexico or compact state

Minimum 1 year of PACU nursing experience or relevant clinical support experience

BLS / AED certification required

ACLS and PALS certifications preferred

Strong critical thinking and scientific judgment skills

Ability to participate in call rotation for 24 / 7 unit coverage

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia patient care in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and hospital policies

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare team

Demonstrate leadership and ensure safe delivery of nursing care

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education

Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience

Provide direction and supervision to assigned clinical support personnel

Ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
