Schedule Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants while promoting patient and employee safety within the healthcare environment. Responsibilities Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission. Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals. Provide accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record. Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care. Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission. Communicate changes in patient status to the care team for continuity of care. Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, providing a supportive work environment. Maintain safety standards in accordance with hospital and nursing policies. Contribute positively to the unit's functioning and participate in team activities. Assume charge responsibility as requested upon completion of orientation. Continuously seek professional growth and development. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure BLS Certification prior to first shift. ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
