Surgical Environmental Technician

The Surgical Environmental Technician is responsible for working under general supervision in the cleaning and terminalization of the out-patient cubicles, surgical suites, endoscopy suites, cesarean section suite and recovery room areas. Other areas include but are not limited to : offices, locker rooms, lounges, conference rooms, hallways, and any other place in the perioperative arena according to strict standards of sanitation. These staff members are trained according to the Association of Peri-Operative Registered Nurses, AORN, standards and recommendations for environmental sanitation in the perioperative setting. In order to achieve world class engagement and to build hope, health and healing for all internal and external customers, this position must adhere to the Mary Lanning values.

EDUCATION : GED or High School Diploma preferred.
