Travel RN Case Manager Job Details

Location : Grand Blanc, MI 48439 (Michigan healthcare jobs)

Setting : Acute Inpatient Case Management

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 27 / 2025 – End : 1 / 24 / 2026)

Shifts : 4x10 hour days (7 : 30am – 6 : 00pm), weekend rotation required

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Employment Type : Travel RN (Locum Tenens)

Pay Range : $46–$59 per hour

Estimated Weekly Salary : $2000–$2050

RN Case Manager Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of acute inpatient case management experience, including acute discharge planning

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan

BLS certification through AHA

Experience with CarePort system

Ability to quickly acclimate and provide direct patient care on the floor

Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational, and time management skills

Preferred : Experience with AllScripts, GEMS / Sunrise charting; minimum 3 years RN clinical experience; knowledge of discharge planning, utilization management, performance improvement, and managed care reimbursement

RN Case Manager Responsibilities

Facilitate precertification and payor authorization for patient care

Coordinate collaborative management of patient care across the healthcare continuum

Identify and remove barriers to timely, efficient care delivery and reimbursement

Apply process improvement methodologies to evaluate patient care outcomes

Support clinical documentation and serve as a resource for coders

Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Demonstrate clinical skills appropriate to the patient population served

Plan to meet patient needs, manage length of stay, and promote efficient resource utilization
