Job Title :   Preconstruction Manager

Job Location :   Boise, ID

Salary :   $150k-$180k

Requirements :   8+ Years Experience in preconstruction / Estimating

This is a full time / permanent position with an established (250-person) General Contractor with a wide range of commercial projects. They are seeking a highly organized and strategic Preconstruction Manager to lead the planning and development phases of construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring that projects are accurately scoped, budgeted, and scheduled before breaking ground.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead the preconstruction process from concept through construction start, including budgeting, scheduling, and design coordination.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to define project scope and feasibility.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and value engineering proposals.
  • Manage bid processes, subcontractor selection, and procurement strategies.
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

    • What You Need for this Position

  • 7+ years of related experience delivering preconstruction services for complex projects
  • Background on projects related to commercial, industrial, or related projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in estimating software
  • BS in Construction Management (or related) is preferred
