Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.

Facility : United Health Services (UHS) – New York

Contract Length : 6 Weeks

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (36 hrs / week)

Start Date : As soon as credentialed

Guaranteed Hours : 36 per week

Unit : Adult Medical / Surgical

Key Requirements :

  • Required Experience :

    • Adult Med / Surg RN experience

  • Current NY RN License
  • BLS (AHA, Red Cross, or HSI)
  • Minimum 6 months–3 years RN experience
  • Epic experience preferred (training may be offered)
  • Preferred :

    • Med / Surg Peds experience

  • PALS Certification
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Professional certification in related specialty

    • Responsibilities :

  • Manage and coordinate care for a group of patients on a Med / Surg unit
  • Conduct assessments, planning, delegation, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management
  • Administer medications safely and per protocol
  • Maintain compliance with NYS Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards, and UHS policies
  • Participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and peer review initiatives
  • Support orientation of new hires and clinical students
  • Stay engaged in continuing education and evidence-based practice
