Position Description

This position is based in our Loveland, CO office. The Civil Design Project Engineer will assist in designing land development projects, including grading, drainage analysis, street design, water and sewer systems, and stormwater management. Responsibilities also include preparing SWMPs, Drainage Reports, and Utility Reports.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering.
  • E.I.T. certification.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2009 or newer, Civil 3D, and Hydrology / Hydraulics software.
  • Experience with commercial and retail projects is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate design engineers to meet project goals.
  • Transform initial design concepts into construction documents using AutoCAD.
  • Establish alignments, profiles, and cross-sections; perform earthwork calculations.
  • Prepare plans for drainage, grading, water, sewer, storm drain, and street improvements using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Develop engineering drawings to standards and prepare special exhibits and maps based on field data and research.
  • Education & Certifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience.
  • SWPP certification or experience is a plus.
  • Experience with commercial-retail projects is advantageous.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Occasional site visits on foot.
  • Use of survey equipment on-site.
  • Ability to drive to job sites as needed.
  • Salary and Benefits

    Salary range : $75,000 - $95,000 per year.
