As part of our expansion in Texas, we are seeking a Director of Sales to join our team at a Marriott property in San Antonio. This leadership role offers the opportunity to directly impact revenue growth, sales team development, and guest satisfaction at one of our flagship hotels.
About the Role
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Director of Sales to lead the sales and marketing strategy at our Marriott hotel in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring proven hospitality sales experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive group, corporate, leisure, and catering business. This role is critical in maximizing revenue, developing new accounts, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring outstanding guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement proactive hotel sales and marketing plans to increase occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, group bookings, and catering sales.
- Identify and target new business opportunities in corporate, group, leisure, and association segments.
- Lead revenue-generating strategies in room sales, food & beverage, and catering.
- Team Management & Training
- Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team; set measurable booking and revenue goals.
- Provide hands-on leadership by participating in client calls, site inspections, and franchise sales calls.
- Oversee career development and performance management of direct reports.
- Client Relations & Business Development
- Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, meeting planners, and travel partners.
- Leverage Marriott franchise sales tools and loyalty programs to maximize market penetration.
- Negotiate contracts, create proposals, and ensure flawless execution of events and bookings.
- Revenue & Market Analysis
- Monitor local market trends and competitor activity; adjust strategies to capture share.
- Collaborate with revenue management to optimize pricing, packages, and promotions.
- Track guest satisfaction results and implement improvements to enhance customer loyalty.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).5+ years of hotel sales experience with a strong track record in group and corporate sales.3+ years of sales leadership experience (preferably with Marriott, Hilton, or other major hotel brands).Deep knowledge of hospitality sales, catering, food & beverage operations, and marketing strategies.Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Proficiency in hotel PMS, CRM, and Microsoft Office Suite.Why Join Us?
