Director of Procurement
A leading organization in the transportation and trucking sector is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Procurement to join their team.
Key Responsibilities of the Director of Procurement :
- Oversee all procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations and federal laws.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and manage supplier relationships.
- Ensure all procurement processes adhere to government agency standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and meet their procurement needs efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications of the Director of Procurement :
Proven experience in a senior procurement role, preferably within a government agency or transportation industry.In-depth knowledge of FTA regulations, federal procurement laws, and government agency standards.Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills with the ability to drive results and influence across all levels of the organization.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale procurement projects and complex contracts.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Why Join as the Director of Procurement :
