Job description

About the Role

Lead and scale the estimating function for industrial construction projects. Manage Senior Estimators, standardize tools / SOPs, and drive accurate, competitive bids from RFQ through handoff.

What You’ll Do

  • Own go / no-go, scoping, site walks, takeoffs, pricing, risk reviews, proposals, and handoff.
  • Build and enforce estimating SOPs, templates, and cost / labor databases (shop & field).
  • Coach and manage Sr. Estimators; balance workload and deliver on deadlines.
  • Partner with Operations, Fabrication, Field, and CAD / BIM on constructability and means / methods.
  • Maintain pursuit pipeline, hit-rate, and estimate-to-actual variance metrics.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years estimating industrial projects.
  • Leadership managing estimating teams and high-volume bid calendars.
  • Fluency with P&IDs / isometrics; knowledge of weld procedures, NDE, QA / QC.
  • Strong vendor / sub relationships and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with takeoff / estimating tools (e.g., Bluebeam; Sage / Timberline, HeavyBid, ProEst; Excel).
