Key Responsibilities
Disassemble decommissioned power distribution units
Salvage metals and reusable parts from decommissioned units
Properly handle and dispose of oils, solvents, and other liquid compounds
Use hand and pneumatic tools, and operate cutting torches to cut metal parts
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material-handling equipment as needed
Maintain responsibility for all tools and equipment in assigned work areas
Travel throughout the company's service territory, including overnight and extended stays near customer locations
Work overtime and call-in hours as required, including evenings and weekends for emergency response
Collaborate effectively with team members in a shop or field environment
When field work is not scheduled, work at the home facility as assigned by the Plant Manager
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
Honest, trustworthy, and reliable
Hardworking and physically capable of performing heavy labor (lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently)
Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold
Skilled in using hand tools, gauges, test equipment, and pneumatic tools
Self-directed, able to complete tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
Valid U.S. driver's license preferred
