Estimated Weekly Pay : $1780 - $1910 per week Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse, On-Site Start Date : December 22, 2025 End Date : March 23, 2026 Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract Shift : Nights, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Medical / Surgical Oncology (24 beds) Patient Ratio : 5 : 1, occasionally 6 : 1 Scrub Color : Navy Blue EMR : Cerner Floating : Required to other units as needed Weekends / Holidays : Every other or every third weekend; holidays on rotation Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Indiana RN license (Registered Nurse) BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; oncology nursing experience strongly preferred Chemo / bio certification required within one year of employment (preferred if already obtained) Ability to float to other hospital units as needed Must be a travel nurse residing more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted) Submission of required RN license, certifications, driver’s license, and permanent home address Oncology RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a 24-bed medical / surgical unit Safely administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and blood products Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes promptly Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and support staff Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and ongoing care Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR Float to other nursing units as required to support hospital operations Discover why Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a top destination for travel nurses and healthcare professionals.
