HR Intern (Summer 2026) - Shelton, CT
Join us in Shelton, CT as a Human Resources Intern, where you will support our HR Function in a dynamic corporate setting. This internship is part of the Hubbell Summer Internship Program, a 12-week program designed to provide students with corporate experience, insight into all aspects of our business, and the kind of practical experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell. The Human Resources (HR) Intern position offers a variety of opportunities, including exposure to various HR responsibilities that will provide an excellent foundation as a professional. Opportunities can vary from supporting teams in Compensation & Benefits, Recruiting, Organizational Development or Corporate HR offices across the United States. HR interns can be expected to streamline processes, learn how to pursue change across different populations, prepare data / presentations for various audiences, and be able to gain professional skills and experiences.

More specifically in this HR Intern role, you will :
Assist the HR Business Partner in daily HR functions and duties.Oversee and streamline the new hire onboarding process, including pre-first day actions, conducting orientations, and new hire check-ins.Continuously improve onboarding materials and processes based on feedback and observations.Participate in the analysis of employee data and reports to help make informed decisions.Coordinate the termination process for employees, assisting HR Business Partners and ensuring smooth communication with managers and employees.Research and compile employee benefits information to create a detailed reference guide for HR Business Partners.Manage relationships with external partners, specifically overseeing our Managed Service Provider.Develop project management, organizational, and vendor management skills through hands-on experience and responsibilities.What will help you thrive in this role?
Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Strong interest in a career in Human Resources.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Minimum 3.0 GPA (required)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
