Mainframe CICS Engineer

A company is looking for a Mainframe CICS Systems Programmer / Engineer to manage CICS engineering and operational functions in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all phases of CICS engineering, system and software maintenance

Provide on-call support and maintenance for the CICS environment

Interface with application developers and operations teams for operational functions

Required Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of CICS performance & tuning and debugging

Experience with SMP / E, software upgrades, and maintenance

Familiarity with CICS parameters and resource definitions in a CICSPlex environment

Experience with CICS monitoring tools such as Sysview for CICS

Knowledge of Cobol to support application developers
