Security Officer

We are currently hiring a full-time Security Officer for a unique split-site schedule in Plattsburgh, NY. This role includes shifts at two separate locations with different responsibilities and pay rates. Reliable transportation is required, as shift times and site locations do not align with public transit schedules. This position includes a split-site schedule totaling 40 hours per week. At the residential site in Plattsburgh, the officer will work Saturdays and Sundays from 08 : 00 AM4 : 00 PM at a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. The remaining shifts take place at an office-style gate access site in Plattsburgh, where the officer will work Monday through Wednesday from 11 : 00 PM7 : 00 AM at a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Residential Responsibilities :

• Conduct hourly 20-minute walking tours to monitor the premises.
• Report suspicious behavior and notify law enforcement of illegal substances or criminal activity.
• Monitor CCTV footage for security concerns.
• Respond to resident issues, complaints, or disturbances professionally.
• Write clear, accurate reports on incidents, complaints, and daily activity.
• Work cooperatively with housing staff and residents to maintain a safe environment.
