MedCadre is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type : Travel Job Title : RN - Med / Surg Location : Scottsbluff, NE Shift : Days and nights both shifts are available, 12 hours shifts, 3 shifts a week Expected Hours : 36 hours a week Job Type : Contract , 13 weeks Job Overview : The Med / Surg RN performs patient assessments, administers medications, monitors vital signs, collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and provides patient and family education. This role requires strong clinical judgment, time management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting multiple patients. Key Responsibilities : Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols. Monitor patient conditions, evaluate responses to treatment, and report changes to the care team. Coordinate patient care alongside physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals. Manage post-operative care including pain management, wound care, and medical equipment monitoring. Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, care plans, discharge instructions, and self-care techniques.
