A Board-Certified Medical Oncologist is needed for locum coverage in Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown, OH. The physician will provide both inpatient and outpatient oncology care, including prescribing and administering chemotherapy and managing diagnostic tests. This position involves a Monday-Friday schedule with weekend on-call rotations and is focused on adult and geriatric patient populations.

Position Overview :

Seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist to provide locum coverage across multiple locations, including Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown, OH , for inpatient and outpatient oncology care.

Coverage Dates :

March 24 March 30, 2025
May 26 June 1, 2025
June 18, 2025

Schedule Details :

Shift : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM

Weekend Call : 1 : 4 rotation

On-Call Requirements : 1 : 4 weekend call

Practice Details :

Patient Population : Adult and Geriatric

Team Composition : 3 physicians and 2 APPs

Clinical Setting : Inpatient and outpatient oncology across Warren, Boardman, and Youngstown locations

Required Duties :

Prescribe and administer chemotherapy (nurses handle administration)

Order imaging and diagnostic tests

Required Procedures :

Chemotherapy (Intrathecal, Intracavitary - Intrapleural / Peritoneal)

Hospital Details :

Trauma Levels :

Youngstown : Level III

Warren : Level I

Boardman : Non-Trauma

EMR : EPIC

Requirements :

Board Certification : Required

Licensure : Active Ohio medical license required

Certifications :

ACLS

DEA

Vaccines :

Flu vaccine required at credentialing

COVID vaccine preferred

Credentialing Timeframe : Approximately 120 days
