Must-Have :

• Previous travel experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Ability to interpret dysrhythmias
• Accessing ports and arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care / management
• PICC line management
• IV start
• Assist with chest tube insertion / removal
• High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Interpretation of ABGs

Description :

This position involves working in a medical surgical oncology unit.

The majority of patients are admitted with continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration.

Candidates will provide care for patients with soft tissue malignancies receiving diagnostic services and symptom management.

Management of comorbidities, infection prevention protocols, and patient falls are critical aspects of care.

Special equipment includes telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds.

The patient population includes adults and geriatrics with various cancer diagnoses.

The focus will be on symptom management related to disease and treatment progression.

The nurse will be required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity.

The ratio of patients to nurses is expected to be 1 : 4.

Professional references are required, with at least one from a management or leadership capacity.

Candidates must complete necessary credentialing processes.

All team members are expected to work collaboratively across disciplines to provide excellent patient care.
