AppleTree Staffing is partnering with our client in Greenfield, looking for a Warehouse Associate / Assembler . This is a full-time Direct Hire position. This company has been around since 1980 and continues to grow its operations to produce reliable fluid power solutions for its customers.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate / Assembler is responsible for preparing and packing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy against shipping or customer orders, and reporting any shortages or incomplete orders. This role includes selecting appropriate shipping containers and packing materials, following specified routing methods, operating standard manual and automatic equipment, and stacking shipments on skids for carrier pickup. Additionally, this role involves receiving and unpacking materials and supplies, checking receipts against purchase orders, and placing products in designated warehouse areas.

Essential Functions :

Receive and Inspect Deliveries :

Unload vehicles, accept deliveries, and unpack containers.
Verify items received by inspecting their condition and comparing the count / measure of items to purchase orders and packing lists, noting any discrepancies.
Document items received by recording identifying information and route or deliver items to the appropriate area or department.

Handle Damaged Items and Shortages :

Notify the appropriate person of damaged items or shortages and obtain credit from the supplier if necessary.

Complete the required paperwork for all issues.

Process Returns :

Receive credit / return materials from production by verifying identifying information and quantity of materials, then place materials back into inventory.

Prepare Shipments :

Assemble, pack, protect, and label containers for shipment.

Determine the method of shipment by examining the items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.

Ship items by verifying identifying information, quantity, and condition of items, then load and protect items for transport.

Document items shipped by recording identifying information and transport information.

Process Outbound Shipments :

Use the shipping software (online or in-house) to process outbound shipments.

Handle LTL (Less Than Truckload) shipments either online or manually.

Maintain Shipping and Receiving Materials :

Check stock levels to determine inventory needs, anticipate needed materials, place orders (or notify the person in charge of ordering), and verify the receipt of materials.

Inventory Management :

Conduct annual inventory and cycle counting as required

.Ensure materials are put away in the correct location and stored properly.

Inventory Conversion and Sub-Assemblies :

Convert and assemble inventory to meet Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements.

Team Contribution :

Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Handle additional requests and perform other related job functions to achieve desired results.

Qualifications :

Ability to operate a forklift for moving or storing materials.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal departments and suppliers.

Ability to handle physical tasks, including occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds using safe lifting techniques.

Proficiency in using shipping software and systems for processing orders and shipments.

Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
