Overview

Alexandre Family Farm is looking for a CDL A Regional Cattle & Hay Driver in Northern California to haul hay and occasional lumber loads. The right candidate will play a vital role in the continued success of our customers, our company, and themselves. Our drivers are team players—professional, dependable, and committed to doing the job right.

Responsibilities

  • Haul hay and occasional lumber loads on a regional route.

Compensation

  • Pay per mile : 60 CPM
  • On Duty Hourly rate : $25
  • Additional Pay :

    • Layover pay : $40 per night (in sleeper)

  • Loading / Unloading pay : $25 per hour
  • Detainment pay : $16.50 per hour
  • Paid semi-monthly (can be via direct deposit)

  • Home Time : Home weekly, 2-day overnight routes
  • Route : Hauling hay from Klamath Falls & Fort Jones to Crescent City Area
  • Cattle : Petaluma Routes
  • Level of touch : Touch freight

    • Equipment

  • 2021 model year trucks
  • Trailer varies depending on haul
  • Manual transmission

    • Qualifications

  • Must have valid CDL A license
  • Must be at least 23 years old
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Doubles endorsement required
  • Tank endorsement preferred but not required
  • No more than 2 major moving violations within 3 years
  • No more than 2 accidents within 3 years
  • Pre-employment and annual DOT drug screens required
  • Current Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • Ability to conduct all operations safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
  • Successful applicants may be subject to DOT pre-employment drug screen, background, and reference checks
  • Must live within 50 miles of Crescent City, CA
