Position Specific Description

This position will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of large-scale universal solar and / or battery facilities within the state of Florida. This role will be based in Arcadia, FL and support the West Florida Region.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the site safety manager ensuring all personnel and equipment onsite are safe and that the site / s comply with environmental regulations and required regulatory permits.
• Spend significant time in the field (outside), conducting routine preventive maintenance activities on solar panels, battery storage systems, and associated equipment.
• Troubleshoot and undertake corrective maintenance to identify and resolve system issues, ensuring maximum system uptime and efficiency..
• Adhere to maintenance schedules and follow established procedures for inspections, cleaning, lubrication, and component replacements.
• Utilize monitoring software and tools to regularly monitor and analyze system performance, identifying deviations and inefficiencies.
• Generate performance reports and maintain accurate records of system performance, including energy production, equipment status, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders regarding work progress, challenges, and recommendations.
• Troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of solar facilities.
• Be on-call and responsible for West FL Region sites, coordinating with the Renewables Operation Control Center, OEMs, vendors, and contractors as required. Working weekends and nights outages is required at times.
