As team leaders that spear-head diverse, cross-functional teams, our General Managers are highly experienced in managing all bar operations with a focus on beverage, hospitality, service and culinary, and driving team members to new levels of success in a highly competitive market. This role will be responsible for delivering quality-focused results in operational excellence, building talented teams, P&L management, strategic planning and brand positioning in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • ? People Planning, Talent Management Development :

GM recruits, interviews develops, trains, and retains qualified management personnel.

  • ? Ensures certified Shift Management Coverage during all hours of operation.
  • ? Provides systems and tool
  • ? Maybe involved in management certification process
  • ? Reviews history and projects needs
  • ? Drives and monitors pre & post training activities to ensure that training has
  • changing behaviors in the restaurants.

  • ? Monitors, identifies assesses restaurant training needs in order to coach restaurant
  • managers, Bar mangers, all employees and Kitchen personal, to create and implement

    organization and training plans meeting Bar Louie requirements.

  • ? Monitors crew & management turnover and forecasts staffing needs against sales,
  • turnover and growth and submits weekly reports.

  • ? Ensures that all HR related polices are followed, tracks and takes necessary actions
  • towards employees who do not follow directions.

  • ? Guest Satisfaction
  • Measures and improves guest satisfaction in each restaurant.

  • ? Uses Bar Louie Consumer Care and internal customer complaint systems, tools to track,
  • and identify trends per restaurant.

  • ? Use trend information to identify problems and create action plans.
  • ? Ensures that customer complaints are resolved in with 24 hours of receipt.
  • ? Solicits feedback from guests during every restaurant visit and correlates with trend
  • information.

  • ? Creates sets up a Google, Yelp and Backstage BL, Bar Louie specific guest satisfaction
  • tracking tools and sends reports on a weekly basis.

  • ? Operations Excellence / QSC
  • GM ensures Bar Louie operational standards are followed.

  • ? Develops and executes a plan for timely completion of self-assessments.
  • ? Uses operational assessments to identify root causes and create action plans for
  • improvement.

  • ? A restaurant averages 80% or better on operational assessments conducted by a corporate
  • Bar Louie representative.

  • ? Uses systems identified, line bar scheduling, guest counts, throwaways and timers for
  • long-term results.

  • ? Market Share
  • GM implements plans that measure and build sales and transactions.

  • ? Ensures Restaurant Mangers execute the current company plan-o-grams and programs.
  • ? Explores local restaurant marketing opportunities by traveling trade areas to evaluate
  • current situation and environments, then uses that knowledge to create plans to build the

    business. Examples catering to local offices, Hotels ect.

  • ? Coach Restaurant Manager to ensure in restaurant opportunities are utilized, i.e.,
  • merchandising, suggestive selling, courtesy sampling.

  • ? Franchisee Involvement
  • GM’s primary responsibility is to operate great restaurants through daily involvement.

  • ? Involvement with franchisee, other GM’s and meetings (where appropriate).
  • ? Executes appropriate sections of the organization’s Business Growth Plan (as directed by
  • the franchisee).

  • ? Assists franchisee in addressing notices to cure (where appropriate).
  • ? Plans execution of new product initiatives and marketing programs.
  • ? Financial
  • GM demonstrates the ability to manage the finances for their restaurants as directed by their franchisee.

  • ? Actions against franchisee specific cost category targets to ensure profitability. Create
  • and track a weekly P&L to submit to franchisees.

  • ? Uses Market Share steps to build sales and increase profitability.
  • ? Capital Investment
  • GM keeps franchisee informed of facility maintenance needs and upkeep to protect the assets.

  • ? Ensures that contracted services are delivered.
  • ? Creates plans to address preventative maintenance issues.
  • ? Works with franchisee on remodels and refurbishment plans to assure enabling Service
  • The Bar Louie Way criteria.

  • ? Follow-up on individual restaurants to see that preventative maintenance plans are
  • followed.

  • ? Development of New Restaurants
  • GM keeps franchisee informed of new competition of similar and other competing restaurants opening soon or possible sites GM feels are opportunities for a new Bar Louie restaurant.

  • ? Work with Architects
  • ? Work with construction managers
  • ? Work with operations team
  • ? Work with other GM’s

  • assuring their completion.

  • ? 100% commitment to follow all internal product control measures, including : food and
  • liquor inventories, purchases and loss prevention measures.

  • ? Demonstrates 100% commitment to management, Team Member continued training and
  • development, to maintain bench strength and engagement.

  • ? Demonstrates 100 % commitment to the cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all
  • locations.

  • ? Assumes all purchasing is done for the best quality products per spec at the best price
  • possible.

  • ? Required Experience / Education / Training
  • ? 3-5 years of General Management Experience
  • ? Management Experience must be in a high-volume full-service restaurant or bar
  • ? Computer knowledge (Excel, Windows, POS, etc)
  • ? Results driven, trustworthy and team oriented
  • ? Infectious personality with the ability to engage and develop team members
  • ? Must be passionate about the hospitality industry and focused on creating amazing guest
  • experiences
