The Electrical Foreman plays a pivotal role in the growth and development of the company. A successful Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of craft workers engaged in the layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment. The Foremancontinually motivates their crew in taking ownership and pride in achieving the overall goals of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees projects in multi-family homes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers in accordance with the engineers' specifications and the National Electric Code
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision
- Maintains working relationship with subcontractors, division managers, and other skilled trades
- Analyzes and resolves work problems
- Maintains knowledge of and enforces company safety rules and procedures
- Quickly corrects any potential hazard or promptly reports the hazard to the responsible person
- Assess material, equipment, and labor needed to complete assigned tasks and ensure all items required are ordered and at the job site in compliance with the scheduled requirements
- Communicate with others, including taking direction from a supervisor and able to give direction in a way that is understood
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years experience as a Residential Electrical Foreman
- Possess knowledge of the current National Electric Code
- A valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass and comply with all safety training, background check and drug testing requirements
- Ability to read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawings
- Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment
