Job Description

The Registered Nurse specializing in Rehabilitation provides critical patient care in an acute rehab hospital setting. This position focuses on adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics with diagnoses such as stroke, brain injury, and spinal cord injuries. The nurse will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care for individuals in rehabilitation.

Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.

Collaborate with physical therapy and other interdisciplinary services.

Utilize special equipment including Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts.

Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Current Registered Nurse license with at least 1 year of experience in an acute rehab hospital, specifically with CVA patients.

Certification in BLS is required.

Experience with the Epic charting system is preferred.
