MGO is seeking an Assurance Manager specializing in State and Local Government / Public Sector Audits and Engagements. This role involves performing advanced accounting functions related to assurance specifications and managing a team of associates to deliver exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will plan, budget, and execute engagements, delegate work, and produce high-quality reports. This position requires extensive knowledge of advanced accounting principles, experience with public sector auditing, and the ability to manage various business and operational functions while maintaining positive client relations. The government entities MGO works with are among the largest in the US and many are bigger dollarwise than a lot of countries. Some of the largest states, counties, cities, airports, railways, and ports to name a few.

Core Responsibilities :

• Leading, managing, and holding people accountable
• Assisting in the execution of growth strategies
• Managing engagement project management, billing, and ensuring QC (technical) standards
• Meeting client deadlines and maintaining timely communication
• Develop engagement teams and prepare seniors and managers for the next level
