About Our Client

This client is a developer with their own general contracting arm based out of Metro Detroit. This small-medium sized firm is growing substantially and looking to add a qualified proect manager to their team.

Job Description

The Key Responisbilities for project manager (Detroit, MI) include :

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Manage and supervise project teams, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and cost control systems.
• Review and approve project drawings, specifications, and change orders.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays.
• Prepare and present project reports, updates, and forecasts to management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.

The Successful Applicant

The Successful Candidate for Project Manager (Detroit, MI) will have :

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in construction project management (commercial, residential, or industrial).
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, codes, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera).
• OSHA certification or other safety credentials preferred.
