This position is on a variable ECB (Emergency Call Basis) shift working Monday - Friday between 30 - 40 hours per week. Job Summary : The Admitting Representative ensures timely and accurate registration of all patients and is responsible for insurance benefit verification / certification and collecting the patient's anticipated financial responsibility at the time of service as applicable. Exemplifies excellent customer service at all times. Minimum Education : HSD or GED. Associate's Degree in healthcare related field preferred. Work Experience : 1 year related experience in health insurance field or two years hospital registration experience required. Direct experience in hospital precertification and benefit / eligibility verification desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Excellent customer service skills, effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
