Principal Silicon Photonics IC Design Engineer
About the Role
The ADI Advanced Physical Technology Group (APTG) collaborates with ADI business units, universities, research organizations, and customers to advance next-generation photonics technologies. As a Principal Silicon Photonics IC Design Engineer, you will lead the design and development of high-performance photonic integrated circuits that enable ADI’s strategic technology roadmap. This role focuses on hands-on design execution, modeling, and validation of PICs for applications in datacenter interconnects, sensing, analog compute, and emerging photonics-enabled markets.
You will be a technical authority in PIC design, driving innovation through rigorous design methodologies, simulation, and layout, while collaborating closely with packaging, device, and system teams to ensure manufacturability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
Proven experience in silicon photonics IC design and layout for high-volume manufacturing.
Proficiency in photonic circuit design tools (Lumerical, Synopsys, Cadence) and EDA workflows.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
