We seek a qualified, motivated, and progressive individual to join our team as an Engineer (Cannabis Building Construction).
Position Requirements
- Perform building plan checks for compliance with the approved cannabis application, City Ordinance, and regulations, as well as local and State cannabis laws and regulations.
- Conduct as-needed site visits as part of the building plan check process, including but not limited to pre-construction, during construction, and post-construction for occupancy approval.
- Pre-construction : field verify existing conditions against approved cannabis application & plan set; confirm required clearances / permits are in process (planning / building / fire).
- During construction : inspect for conformance with approved plans and cannabis-specific conditions (security hardware / coverage, restricted access layouts, ventilation / odor control, hazardous materials handling areas, M / E / P rough-ins tied to cannabis equipment). Document corrections and re-inspections.
- Post- construction / occupancy : verify all City / County sign-offs, pass finals, and confirm the business is eligible for the Citys Business Occupancy Permit (BOP) issuance; BOP can be denied if requirements are unmet.
Required Education and Experience
