Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to perform diagnostic, fluoroscopic, CT, and radiography procedures with minimal supervision. This role requires independent judgment to efficiently complete prescribed imaging tasks while ensuring excellent patient care and adherence to radiation safety standards. The technologist will operate CT scanners, manage contrast delivery systems, and document all relevant patient and procedural information accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control protocols.
- Welcome patients and provide clear education about procedures to patients and their families.
- Assist patients with transportation and positioning for examinations.
- Operate CT scanners using appropriate parameters, adjusting settings in compliance with safety regulations and ALARA principles.
- Manage contrast injector systems and screen patients for risk factors, documenting findings thoroughly.
- Record patient history, note any unusual conditions or limitations, and document incidents as necessary.
Qualifications
Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach.Experience in fluoroscopy, emergency room, portable radiography, minor invasive procedures, and some operating room exposure is required.Preferred experience includes CT procedures in a hospital setting, especially invasive CT techniques.At least one year of hospital-based clinical medical experience is preferred.Licenses and Certifications
California Registered Technologist (CRT) license is required.American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT certification must be obtained within one year of hire or training start.Venipuncture certification required within six months of hire.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider is required upon hire.Additional Information
