You will…

• Own the creation, documentation, alignment and verification of all behavioral system requirements at Waabi with a strong understanding of vehicle behaviors and interactions and how to describe and evaluate them efficiently and effectively
• Act as a central point of contact at Waabi for all matters related to your behavioral requirements and related scenario sets and communicate updates, progress and potential roadblocks to stakeholders at all levels
• Help drive Waabi’s safety culture through application of safety standards and methodologies in your area of responsibility across all supporting teams at Waabi including Systems Engineering, Hardware and Software
• Define necessary improvements for our highly realistic simulator to effectively verify all driving behaviors under all required conditions and work with other teams at Waabi to get these improvements designed and implemented
• Continuously evaluate and enhance Waabi’s behavioral evaluation capabilities, look for novel approaches, identify and apply lessons learned and ensure a detailed and comprehensive documentation that is easily accessible
• Implement tools and methodologies to streamline and automate the behavioral requirement processes where applicable
• Work with external partners on gathering data and information related to driving behaviors of trucks as well as on supporting a strong safety case for the complete self-driving system

The US yearly salary range for this role is : $140,000 - $190,000 USD in addition to competitive perks & benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.’s yearly salary ranges are determined based on several factors in accordance with the Company’s compensation practices. The salary base range is reflective of the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Note : The Company provides additional compensation for employees in this role, including equity incentive awards and an annual performance bonus.
