Job
The Measurement Tech (Offshore) is responsible for the accurate measurement of physical quantities in oil and gas operations. This role works closely with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure all measurements are reliable, consistent, and compliant with regulatory standards.
Key
Operate and maintain Oil & Gas Allocation and Custody Transfer measurement systems
Perform LACT meter proving, Sales Gas meter calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling for Custody Transfer
Calibrate and operate liquid and gas meters for allocation purposes
Troubleshoot and test single-phase metering equipment (positive displacement, helical turbine, orifice, v-cone)
Collect, analyze, and report measurement data
Use Windows-based programs such as OMNICOM, PCCU32, and Mon 2000
Prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation
Travel and work offshore, including around heavy equipment and in variable environmental conditions
Collaborate with team members to ensure safe and efficient operations
Minimum 2 years’ experience / training in Oil & Gas Allocation and Custody Transfer measurement systems
Knowledge of regulatory requirements for LACT meter proving, Sales Gas meter calibration, and Oil & Gas sampling
Familiarity with single-phase metering equipment and troubleshooting procedures
Proficient in Windows-based programs (OMNICOM, PCCU32, Mon 2000) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work offshore and adapt to changing environments
High school diploma or equivalent required
