Position Summary Details
This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in such manner as to ensure optimal client relations.
Essential Functions
- Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
- Ability to use the tools of the trade (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools etc.)

Installs, maintains and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipmentIdentifies maintenance risks on equipmentDiagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systemsCleans, adjusts and repairs systems, and performs warranty servicesPerforms emergency repairs promptly and efficientlyProvides technical direction and on-the-job trainingKeeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functionsEnsures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety ActComplies with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirementsAssists with customers' queriesCompletes other duties as assignedQualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderRefrigeration / HVAC Trade or Vocational certification required1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC fieldMust meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including ten year work history if availableAbility to obtain a Government TS Clearance and the lifestyle that requires.Preferred Qualifications :
