Cardiovascular Short Stay RN - Deaconess Gateway

CANDIDATES MUST BE EXPERIENCED IN PRE / POST CATH LAB / EP PROCEDURES, PACU RECOVERY, CARDIAC SURGERY ADMISSIONS

Contract Length : 12 weeks

Start Date : ASAP

Guaranteed Hours Per Week : 36

Primary Location : Deaconess Gateway Hospital Newburgh, IN (GW CVSS)

Shift : 12hr Days 0630-1900 operational hours of department

Float Requirements : float to other cardiac units and may float between Midtown, Gateway, and Heart Hospital, but cross campus mid-shifting floating is rare.

On Call / Call Back Requirements : N / A

Holidays : None

Required Certifications to be Attached upon Submittal : IN Single State RN License, AHA BLS & ACLS, NIHSS

Minimum Experience : 1 year of experience in specialty

NO NEW TRAVELERS - 1 completed travel assignment required

Charting Experience Required : EPIC / CUPID

Required Skillset : Start IVs, radial artery sheath removal, TR bands, arterial line management, manage / titrate cardiac drips, telemetry interpretation, 12-lead EKG.

Patient Population : Admissions / Cardiac procedure recovery, Pre / Post Cath Lab / EP Lab procedures, PACU recovery, cardiac surgery admissions, TAVR / LAAO recoveries.

Unit Information : 12 beds. Pre / Post procedure Cath Lab, Surgery admissions

3 : 1 patient ratio

Uniform info : Navy Blue

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed
