Bookkeeper

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented bookkeeper and payroll specialist to join a local company's team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with numbers, and can maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

Record daily financial transactions and maintain general ledger accuracy

Reconcile bank, credit card, and vendor accounts

Process invoices, payments, and expense reports

Assist with budgeting and cash flow tracking

Support year-end closing and coordinate with external accountants

Payroll

Transfer payroll data to third party administrator

Maintain employee records and handle onboarding / offboarding documentation

Calculate commissions and bonuses

Correct timekeeping errors

Respond to employee payroll inquiries

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

5 years of office experience with a focus on bookkeeping and payroll

Proficiency with accounting software, Quickbooks experience required

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Proven bookkeeping experience Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principles Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Proficiency in English and in MS Office & Quick books software Customer service orientation and negotiation skills High degree of accuracy and attention to detail BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration Preferred
