Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : ASAP Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 9 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of vascular interventional and Level 1 trauma experience for a day shift contract. Responsibilities Position based in a vascular interventional radiology department Day shift, Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM 4 shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week Core procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, arterial and venous embolizations, and venous thrombectomy Opportunity to assist with neuro interventions and hybrid procedures including TAVR, Watchman, Mitraclip, EVAR, TCAR, and TEVAR Uses advanced adjunctive devices such as ICUS, FFR / iFR, Lithotripsy, Laser, Rota, Impella, IABP, OCT, and CTO Requires call coverage after initial 6 months as assigned EMR system is Epic and experience is required Patient population includes Level 1 trauma cases Responsibilities include administration of contrast materials, accurate documentation, and supporting patient care throughout diagnostic and interventional procedures Coordinates with physicians, vascular surgery, and multidisciplinary teams for advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures Assesses patients for allergies and responds to hypersensitivity reactions as needed Assists with maintaining inventory and procedural supplies Orientation includes expectations for call coverage after 6 months May instruct and support new staff Required to adhere to a sterile environment during all procedures RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract Scrub / safety dress code in effect for procedural suite All travelers may only remain on assignment for up to one calendar year before a 30-60 day break is required No travel partners accepted for this assignment Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology or procedural radiology experience Experience with peripheral vascular, venous central lines, tube changes, arterial / venous embolizations, and venous thrombectomy required Level 1 trauma experience required Associate's degree in a related field or certificate in radiologic technology required BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required ARRT (R) certification and IEMA Radiography License for Illinois required Experience with Epic charting system required Manual dexterity for handling procedural supplies Capacity to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures License required if applicable Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-576258.
