As a Software Engineer, you will work on a team to develop API endpoints and integrations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This position requires a candidate with strong AWS and database skills and 5 years experience with Python.
This position is contract-to-hire. You must be a U.S. citizen who lives in the continental United States, and you must be able to qualify for a "public trust" security clearance.
In your first 3 months, you will…
- Write code, develop tests, and debug in an agile environment
- Attend daily scrums
- Own research and trouble shooting for on-deck tickets from submission through close
- Own documentation and playbook of changes / solutions implemented
- Independently perform knowledge spikes
- Contribute to dynamic engineering work driven by VA needs
- Give input on high level architecture decisions, and communicate those decisions to other developers on the team
- Attend and participate in video meetings with internal, partner, and client teams

Salary range for this role is $99,000 - $145,000 and will be based on skills and experience.
