We are looking for a Loan Settlement Associate to join our team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This contract-to-permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to loan closing and settlement operations while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of disbursement processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset to support seamless loan transactions.

Responsibilities :

• Convert Closing Disclosures (CDs) into funding worksheets by ensuring all loan disbursement details are accurate and complete.
• Input loan disbursement information into funding worksheets while verifying alignment with signed Closing Disclosures.
• Resolve discrepancies with settlement agents for external closings to ensure smooth and accurate transactions.
• Upload accounting and disbursement documentation into the loan origination system for record-keeping.
• Track closing and disbursement milestones to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Provide daily updates on advances and funding, including exporting data and maintaining detailed worksheets.
• Review note packages for accuracy and oversee their timely shipment to designated locations.
• Upload endorsed notes for all closings into the loan origination system to maintain comprehensive records.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to support efficient daily loan operations and resolve any issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement internal controls for enhanced efficiency.
• Hold a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Exhibit discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• Possess a keen eye for detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Showcase strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Work effectively as part of a team while displaying initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with familiarity in loan origination systems being advantageous.
• Experience with mortgage loans, loan processing, or closing is a plus.
