What You'll Do : Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel. Assist with access control by monitoring entry points and verifying credentials as required. Support campus operations by offering directions and information to students, staff, and visitors as needed. Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and / or irregularities encountered during patrols. Minimum Requirements : At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. CPR and / or First Aid certification is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
