Step into a Day of Precision

At 7 : 45 AM you’ll head to the floor, calibrate your tools, and set up the coordinate measuring machine to verify parts from our plastic injection molding lines. Your mission is simple : ensure every product and process meets exact specifications through visual checks, mechanical measurements, and targeted physical tests.

What You’ll Do

  • Use micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, travel / drop indicators, scales, and other metrology tools to inspect components.
  • Set up and measure parts using a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets for data capture; document results using good documentation practices (GDP).
  • Reconcile and finalize inspection records for outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain the retained-sample program and ensure sustainability of sample controls.
  • Verify incoming raw materials meet purchasing specifications and confirm outgoing product meets final requirements.
  • Collaborate with production teams to resolve product and process issues.
  • Communicate with customer quality representatives as needed.
  • Support additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

    Comfort reading and interpreting safety rules, operating / maintenance instructions, and procedures. Able to write routine reports, correspondence, and procedures, and present information or respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and employee groups.

    Work Environment

    You may encounter fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Noise levels can be loud.

    Physical Requirements

    Occasional sitting, climbing / balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Frequently lift / move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 25 lbs. Vision needs include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Qualifications

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience : Minimum 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
  • Injection Molding : 1+ year in plastics injection molding (required).
  • Preferred : Additional industry experience in Plastic Injection Molding.
  • Compensation & Schedule

  • Starting at $20.00 / hr; up to $30.00 / hr based on experience and certifications.
  • 1st Shift : 7 : 45 AM – 4 : 15 PM. Shift differential available.
  • Full-time; 8-hour day shift with overtime and weekends as needed.
