Position : CNC Machinist – Large VTL (vertical turret lathe)

Location : Summerville, South Carolina 29483

Shift : 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday | 3 : 00 PM – 11 : 30 PM

Compensation : $28–$42 / hour + Shift Differential | Overtime Available

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist with experience operating large vertical turret lathes to join our precision manufacturing team in Charleston. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who excels in a high-precision, low-volume production environment and is committed to producing top-quality components to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate large vertical CNC lathes to machine components to tolerances within ±0.001”
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine machining requirements
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job
• Monitor machining operations and make real-time adjustments to feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed
• Conduct routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team
• Accurately document production data and inspection results
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
