Schedule Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30). Every other weekend coverage is required. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Labor and Delivery department will provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams and ensuring the safety and comfort of both mothers and newborns. The nurse will utilize skills in various areas, including antepartum, labor management, and postpartum care, while adhering to hospital protocols and using the Epic charting system. Responsibilities Assist with labor and delivery processes, including support during vaginal deliveries and C-sections. Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and respond to anomalies. Provide care to neonates immediately after birth, including APGAR scoring and thermal regulation. Educate parents on newborn care and breastfeeding support. Administer medications and IV therapies as needed. Maintain sterile conditions during procedures and examinations. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience preferred. Current Maryland RN license or compact license required. Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NCC C-EFM (required in hand at the time of submission). Additional certifications such as AWHONN Advanced / Intermediate, NRP, and STABLE preferred. Why ARMStaffing?
