Facilities Maintenance Technician

Moultrie, GA l $16.00 - $21.00 / Hour

We are hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician to oversee and participate in the maintenance, repair, and construction of facility systems and structures within a correctional environment. This position supervises and instructs inmates assigned to maintenance work, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient completion of assigned projects while maintaining facility operations and compliance with safety and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and observe inmate in performing their duties
• Conduct security of inmates
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems, electrical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, electrical security door locks, and intercom systems
• Participate in cement patching, welding, roofing, and concrete work
• Install ceiling tiles, carpet, vinyl, and tile flooring
• Construct cabinets and walls
• Clean equipment and perform preventative maintenance including making minor repairs
• Inspect equipment and assigned work area for safety hazards
• Observe all safety rules and guidelines
• Assist with special projects as requested
• Ensure cleanliness of shop and work areas
• Prepare materials list; assemble, load, and transport tools and materials to job site.
• Attend safety meetings
• Prepare a variety of reports an dlogs, including vehicle maintenance eports, filter logs, inmate work reports, reports of parts used, disciplinary reports, time reports, and work ethic reports

Requirements

Location : Moultrie, GA

Pay Rate : $16.00 - $21.00 / Hour

Schedule : Monday – Friday 7 : 30 am – 4 : 00 pm, Overtime and on call every 3rd week
