About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 1 year in NICU or PICU

License : Florida state license required

Certifications : BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT

Must-Have :

• NICU and Pediatric Critical Care experience
• Competency in airway management, medication administration, and delivery systems
• Experience with ventilators, including Servo, Sensormedics, and jet ventilators

Description :

We are seeking a qualified respiratory therapist with experience in the NICU and pediatric critical care settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience with a level 4 NICU and level 1 pediatric emergency department.

Candidates should be proficient in medication delivery systems, including aerosol setups and nebulizer therapy.

Knowledge of respiratory pathologies, such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia and respiratory distress syndrome, is essential.

Candidates must be able to interpret arterial blood gases and perform basic EKGs.

Experience in chest physiotherapy techniques is also required.

Candidates should be familiar with the Cerner EMR system.

The position requires COVID-19 vaccination, with exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons.

The respiratory therapist will be responsible for the care of neonates and infants in critical condition.

The role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy.

A flexible schedule and availability for weekend shifts are required.

All candidates must be able to work in a smoke-free environment.
