Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring an English Residential Faculty. This position will teach at least five classes each semester with an expectation of teaching composition. Classes could be a mix of in-person, online, or hybrid format in 16-week and 8-week lengths. This position will begin August 2026.
Additional Information
Final in-person interviews with administration will be conducted on March 6, 2026.
This position is for Fall 2026.

Minimum Qualifications
A Master's degree or higher in the teaching field (English, Rhetoric, Composition, Literature, Creative Writing, English Education, Journalism, New Media Studies, Teaching English as a Second language, Linguistics.

A Master's in any field with 18 graduate-level credits in these prefixes / subjects : ENG, ENH, LIT, ENGL, RHET, WTG, COMP, CRW, LIN, JRN, ESL, BLE, BME, Rhetoric, Literature, Composition, Literacy, Linguistics, Writing.
OR
Master's in any field with 18 graduate-level credits in courses with these keywords will be reviewed to verify applicability : BLE, BME, HUM, SPC, LAE, EDU, HED, IDS, RDG, Culture, Language, Critical Theory, Critical Thinking, Critical Analysis, Reading
