Position Overview

Lauren Services is seeking experienced engineers specializing in Civil / Structural, Electrical, Mechanical / Piping, and Stress Engineering to support current and future projects in Illinois. These roles focus on delivering innovative engineering solutions for pipeline infrastructure, compressor stations, meter stations, and other Oil & Gas facilities.

You will play a vital role in achieving successful execution of brownfield retrofits and greenfield developments, ensuring compliance with Illinois's specific regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Engineering :

Deliver FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering for Oil & Gas facilities, including pipelines, pump stations, and process equipment.

  • Ensure designs comply with applicable API, ASME, and CSA codes and standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance :
  • Address the complexities of Illinois-specific registration requirements and ensure compliance with local jurisdictional regulations.

  • Construction Support :
  • Provide technical expertise during construction, including constructability reviews, site inspections, and resolution of field RFIs (Requests for Information).

  • Project Integration :
  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate designs into complete systems, such as pipeline networks, process plants, and associated facilities.

  • Leadership & Collaboration :
  • Actively support project teams during all phases, from scope definition to commissioning and start-up, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

    Qualifications

  • Civil / Structural Engineers : Expertise in structural design for pipe racks, equipment foundations, and modular systems.
  • Electrical Engineers : Proficiency in power distribution, SCADA systems, and control systems for Oil & Gas facilities.
  • Mechanical / Piping Engineers : Strong experience in pipeline hydraulics, pipe stress analysis, piping isometric design, and construction package development.
  • Stress Engineers : Familiarity with thermal and pressure stress analysis using tools such as CAESAR II or equivalent software.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of Oil & Gas industry codes and standards, such as API, ASME B31.3 / 4 / 8, and CSA Z662.
  • Strong understanding of midstream and downstream operations, including pipeline transportation, compressor stations, and metering facilities.
  • Proven ability to deliver engineering packages for compressor stations, pigging facilities, and valve sites.
  • Familiarity with process simulation tools, such as HYSYS, and mechanical engineering software for piping stress and flow analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Lauren Services offers a hybrid work environment, and this role can be based out of our Vancouver, Kelowna, or Calgary offices, with flexibility for remote work.
