Position Overview
Provide customer service in coordination with the whitewater admin. Focusing on external and internal processes creating seamless experience for guests and whitewater vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize all waivers into structured system for daily distribution in an efficient manner
- Welcome and assist customers arriving onsite, resolving concerns promptly
- Answer questions and distribute program information to guests regarding their scheduled whitewater activity
- Oversee the daily check-in, departure, and verification of guests for whitewater activities
- File trip reports with West Virginia DNR
- Write an end-of-season report to include operational improvements for your area
- Model the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work area
- Perform additional duties assigned by SBR leadership
- Abide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbook
Qualifications
Minimum age : 18+Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, software navigation)Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal communication abilitiesWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and hike and up to 3 hours daily and ability to lift / move up to 25 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record , including height / weight guidelinesHousing : 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform : Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours : 45 - 55Desired Traits
