Job Summary

Under minimal direction, the Pharmacy IT Program Analyst is responsible for all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities within their respective area of Pharmacy. The Pharmacy IT Program Analyst devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering software application limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of pharmacy applications systems analysis and programming activities. Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Provides ad hoc reports and scheduled reports as requested. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts / programmers.

Essential Functions :

• Responsible for all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities within their respective area of Pharmacy. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering software application limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of pharmacy applications systems analysis and programming activities. Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. (40%)
• Performs a variety of tasks involving hardware and software to support the customers and management. Provide technical support and assistance as required. Working with pharmacy leadership, develop and maintain dashboards. (20%)
• Monitor daily maintenance and / or error reports for data accuracy and maintains. Communicates with vendors or department personnel when required to revolve issues. Performs regular audits on IT systems. Maintain downtime procedures for all systems. In collaboration with DH data warehouse personal, build and maintain a pharmacy data warehouse. (20%)
• Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for the department. Provides ad hoc reports and scheduled reports as requested. Develop process documentation, flows, etc. Leads / participates in special projects and initiatives as assigned. (20%)

Education :

Work Experience :

1-3 years Experience in pharmacy, healthcare analytics, IT, finance, or a related field
